Raffle ticket sales.

The raffle ticket selling is going REALLY well. So far we raised $180 on Friday outside Coles in West End and a whopping $569 on Saturday in Fairfield Gardens shopping centre!! We couldn't believe how generous people were. Plenty of people didn't want the prizes they were just happy to donate. We even managed to sell a table for the trivia night.

The set up: pretty fancy

And right next to the petting zoo! This was Jacque minding the zoo while the owner went off to get his rake.

You may have noticed Jacque's skirt. This was made by Emma and is the fabric that is going to be used for all of our uniforms. Special.

A couple of times during the day on Saturday we even had our very own spruker!! This lady who was employed by the shopping centre to get on the mic and start banging on about various deals in various shops came up to us and asked if she could publicise our cause. Bloody right!

"What's your name?" we asked her before she kicked things off. "Truly" she replied. "Truly?" I said and fell about laughing. I'm sure she'd never heard that one before.

Anyway she was brilliant. Jacque enhanced things with all the movement finesse of one of those deaf-signers who stand next to politicians. Check it out:

You gotta love those goats!
