Milk it, baby!

Yesterday was the annual Kurilpa Derby day. Boundary Street in West End gets closed to motor traffic and the human-powered wheels take over. There is a big parade where everyone wheels down to the main drag. Then there are numerous races and competitions, music, dancing and general frivolity. Naturally, this being our manor, there was a strong West End Wonder Women presence...

We won a prize... something like "3rd best in show" after the baby in the eski and the guys on the couch which lost its wheels about a quarter of the way into the parade. It made for a very slow parade while they kept stopping and starting...

We had two prizes to split between the six of us (Myself, Kirsty, Michelle, Emma, Cate and Ruth); a hooded top and a 6 week dance course (choosing between pole, aerial, burlesque and a couple more I think!)  I got the hoody and Cate got the dancing lessons. Looking forward to the photos, Cate!

The slow-motion run during the People's Parade (that may have been more 6 million dollar man than wonder woman but who cares?)

Ray Deflecting. Another Wonder Woman talent.

Any excuse to get the clobber on!
